Bounty Hunter (the f**ker) just called me the George Hamilton of wrestling... because I said "oh, boot to the head ...that's it... it's over..." ... "oh... no!" ... and Melina kicked out, just to be beaten in the next move.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

is it just me or does anyone else think that melina is gong to fall out of that top

Thinking and hoping are two different things.

Melina is probably the only woman I'd share Katy Perry with.

For the last few PPVs they have been bringing the champ out first for some reason, usually annoys the hell out of me but I'll make an exception in CM Planks case :pac:

Is it just me or are these two very similar characters and ideal for a conflict?

Its almost the exact same as Die Hard 3: With A Vengeance, except its far worse. The ending is almost identical to Die Hard 3.

It was a rhetorical question, and it didn't annoy me as much as the last few times, had a feeling you'd be in the same boat. :P

They're along the same vein since they're supposed to be rock-star type characters, but opposite sides of the same coin since Jeff has a history of drug abuse and CM Punk is straight-edge (no drugs, no booze, no smoking etc). So it's like coke and pepsi, and we all know coke is superior to pepsi and pepsi is muck so that analogy is actually quite apt I think :pac:

Actually, isn't that a more "classic" way of doing things? Especially - say - in boxing circles... Bring out the champ first, then the challenger?

Reminds me for some bonkers reason of the Simpsons, with Homer Vs Drederick Tatum and Homer coming out second to the tune of "Why can't We Be Friends?"...

Didn't Mohammed Ali (the challenger..?) come out second in the Rumble in the Jungle, with Foreman (the champion...?) already there waiting for him?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 559 ✭✭✭lankysexybeast

also hoping that they don't ruin this and bring edge out anyway

amazed with the boredom levels of this match so far

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,890 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    Edit: excellent, good call BH

Saw his foot go under. Hate this COMPLETE BULL**** of changing the result after the bell. Ugh.

    Wonder who'll win now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Why wasn't Jeff allowed hit him on the ground when that's where he was before the stoppage?

UGH. Nice subtle heel turn there.

i think i was wrong with my boredom comment. guess i just meant its not what i expected. i was hoping for a bit more speed to it.

oh wow how surprisingly typical. i was wonderin how punk would turn heel fully but now i know.

    christ punk is irritating

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 559 ✭✭✭lankysexybeast

And Punk has always been irritating, just now he's supposed to be :pac:

i didnt predict Edge/Jericho instead that itd be Vs but that they would distract each other while Wellness violater Jeff vs Straight Edge Chip Munk would get a proper build for SummerSlam .... me think i win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭Iang87

man jeff looks wrecked he looked so tired there he couldn't even throw punches at punk,

he just rested on him til the refs took him off him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,964 ✭✭✭Podge2k7

    Charles Robinson to the rescue!:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭Iang87

ooh i smell an i quit interview in the backstage

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,309 ✭✭✭✭Bard

Clever whatchacallit there... heel turn :)

They're going to hate that Punk fellah now and love the Hardy fellah.

As an aside, the one thing that is seriously lacking in WWE these days is a decent collection of proper tag-teams. Remember the days of 3D, E&C, APA (to some degree), The Hardy Boys... etc. - tag team matches were something worth looking forward to. These days it's SAME OLD BLOKES vs SOME OTHER OLD BLOKES - another yawn-fest. Perhaps the Edge/Jericho connection will last... who knows...?

exactly what i was saying. it's why he hasn't signed yet cause he doesn't know f he can handle the scedul and the last few weeks he's been in bits. you do have to feel for the guy though
