Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yeah I've been here, absolute dump of a place. Had nothing to offer or of interest for me.

But if you're interested in a big park and a couple of museums, go check it out by all means.

Was there just two days ago and its still a dump of a place. I didn't even want to be there, I was just doing a mate a favour and putting her snowboard into storage for a later pick up when she is enroute to Bariloche for the season. So I had to get off the plane, go downtown, find a hostel that would store it and then headed onto Lima the next day. She owes me bigtime=)

I didnt have a guidebook but even if I did Id say the Sao Paulo section is only a couple of pages long, namely describing the best roads out of it :pac:

nightlife very good but its just a big metropolis otherwise. Jardins nice area of city and check out a restraunt called rubiyh. Parati (actually in rio state) - very old colonial town thats barely changed in 400 years about 3hrs north i believe on coast and beaches on uba tuba (70 odd beaches on one stretch of coast) are both supposed to be great. Spellings all prob wrong.

Parati is an incredible little place. If you go,be sure to stay in Pousada Guarana, I stayed there with my girlfriend and it was incredible, the owners are amazingly cool people and it was an absolute pleasure staying in a brilliant place like it. In fact, it was the best place we stayed in our entire trip in South America.

And it's 6 hours North of Sao Paulo.
