Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Really its own thread, stick it in the summer transfer talk.

But my guess would be that he's a vampire.

17.03 Aly Cissokho's move from Porto to AC Milan could be in tatters after his medical revealed a dental problem.

What kind of dental probelms could affect his ability to play football?

There a very low tolerance for plaque in the modern dressing room.

Some things to note about this article.

    1. It's on Sky Sports, so could be a fabrication.

    2. The words COULD BE.

    3. Oh the irony.

It's on sky italia, gazetta and a few others too, it seems pretty genuine.

I didn't know they included dental check ups in the medical.

Anythin that can effect a player physical health is checked.

If a player has a major dental issue that requires surgery he could be out for up to a month, maybe more.

Was he a gift from Porto to Milan, in the classic sort of horse type guise, and they actually looked him in the mouth? tut tut

dental issues can sometimes be related to more underlying serious problems. For example, rotting teeth can cause or aggravate heart problems. I know people who've had their teeth removed before getting heart surgery.

You have to have your teeth checked/sorted before most surgeries depending on age I think something to do with the infection travelling if there's a problem in your mouth.

Beckham was taken through a series of tests and, while Meersseman concluded that the former England captain had the natural fitness to emulate Paolo Maldini by playing into his forties, he wanted to address three specific issues. Beckham's aerobic capacity was considered to be one of his main assets but improvable while a special programme to strengthen his upper legs was also recommended.

However, AC Milan's attention to detail was most underlined by the requirement that Beckham should wear a small support in his mouth until some dental work was completed to fill a tiny gap in a tooth. It was felt that this could be affecting his balance and, potentially, even his fitness. In the past, Milan had healed a back injury to Clarence Seedorf by fixing a similar dental problem.

    ...

The first team are looked after by nine sports science experts, six masseurs, five physios, four chiropractors and three doctors. It is a support network that, since 2002, has reduced non-contact injuries by more than 90 per cent.
