Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Seen the boffer for tonight:

Aluminium DJ Style 656 Disc Carry Case
    £7.99
    Delivery: £2.99

Your thinking thats grand, but when you select ireland "Non UK Mainland Surcharge: £7.00"

I understand its a bulky item but its made of aluminium not steel! Im taking from this they think were fools or just don't want our custom?

This probably dosen't belong in BA but anyway..

That's a complete joke. I haven't bought anything from Boffer in a good while and even charging a £5 surcharge before was pretty steep.. increasing that to £7 is a joke tbh.
( Especially after one of their staff members promised multiple times that they were trying to bring shipping costs to the republic down by working out a deal with a different courier)

Also, has anyone else noticed that all the new MegaBots autions have this written inside "NB: Will ship to UK Mainland Only"

They really don't want our custom anymore..

Yesterday's offer was 4 Sandisk 4GB SD cards for £16.99. There was no non-UK surcharge. However when I tried to buy two lots, the £7 charge suddenly popped up. I bought one pack only and paid just £2.99.

Looks like the extra charge only applies to items over a certain value / weight.

    I like beans.

but why should we put up with a surcharge in the first place? Just because we are being screwed by our own so much why should be put up with being screwed by others to a lesser degree?
It annoys me to think these lads are just slapping a surcharge on knowing that we are dumb enough to pay it.

Firstly, not a BA. Mods can take care of that bit.

    Secondly,
slapping a surcharge on knowing that we are dumb enough to pay it.

Simple answer. Don't pay it! Get the stuff somewhere else. I don't agree with the surcharge either but whining here isn't going to do any good.

I have had some great bargains from boffer, and have also gotten free P&P from time to time.

The surcharge used to be for £5, and is for large/bulky and/or heavy items.

OP; if you get your case, take it to An Post and ask how much to ship it to the UK.

Would be fine if that was the case, but i've seen it added to lots of small items too like USB stick form mp3 players.
