    Work in Letterkenny. doesnt matter where. but workforce of about 24/25 about 1.5 years ago cut down to 5 full time 2 parttime now. totally gutted.

    Did they get generous redundancy packages?
    Or just statutory minimum?

    Not being nosy, it'd be interesting to see what employers are offering

    The missus was made redundant last week, she worked there for 9 years.
    But she is already planning to open up a small business in the twin towns, so i hope in a years time her being made redundant will be the best thing to ever happen to her:D. (she had this plan in her head even before the lay-off)

    some contractors in the public sector are getting laid off this month.
    don't have numbers, but they would have been notified earlier in the week.
