    Hi All,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a driving instructor that teaches automatic?
Its for a friend of mine and she is a bit of a nervous starter. She doesnt want to start in a manual.
She has a teacher at the moment but he is very unreliable.

    Thanks in advance.

Any driving instructor will be able to demostrate an automatic.

You simply put it in drive and drive. Simple as.

I would imagine that any driving instructor will attempt to try to teach her in a manual car anyway because if you do your test in an automatic car you can ONLY drive an automatic.

If you do your test in a manual the you can drive BOTH.

No she is learning in an Automatic. She doesnt mind that the license is restricted.
The instructor needs a converted car with brake pedals, and very few seems to have one in Auto.

Well if she is learning in an automatic then why does she not use her own car for the lessons?

    See above.

If the OP is asking for an instructor and then tells us she IS learning in an automatic It is proper order to assume she has an automatic car / parents have an automatic car(or similar).

Her current instructor has an automatic car. But he never shows up when he is supposed to. He is very unreliable. Hence the search for a replacement.
