This has been asked before - but quite a while ago. With many new products on the market, I would like your opinion please.

I would like to buy a good one, that I will use here in Ireland - but I can use in Asia if I go that far ( or is that just a map that I buy?)

    Any guidance appreciated!
    thanks

I have a navman and its rubbish in ireland.. Garmin in my opinion are by far the best in ireland. There maps have very good detail and include townlands in rural ireland. My navman doesn't show the town lands
    Hope this helps

Whatever you get, go for the Navteq maps, not TeleAtlas.
