Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No air from vents (non-AC)

Not quite sure what the problem is with this. Since the car ('99 Bora) was bought there has been no air from the vents, even when the fan is turned up to full (the fan sound is there). I checked the pollen filter today and... there's no pollen filter. Just a space where it's supposed to go. A bit odd. But there's still no air coming out. A trickle comes out from the front windscreen vent but that's it. Recirc makes no difference.

    Any ideas?

Is the fan working on all speeds..?

    Yep, no problems there.

If you switch it to blow towards your feet or to demist does the air come out? If so then the pipe from the fan to the vents is blocked or has worked loose but this is unlikely.

Are you sure that you haven't closed the vents?

If you turn the fan all the way up, can you feel air moving where the pollen filter goes?

    pollen filter methinks.
There is no pollen filter present. This wouldn't cause the issue (unless something managed to get in and block the air passageway).

Sorry, took a while to get back on this. Nope, only a very slight draft of air comes out of any vent no matter what speed or vent setting is used. The vents are definitely all open, and the fan is definitely sucking air into the car (I stuck a hand down into the space where the pollen filter should be), it's just not going anywhere! I'm really stumped on this one.
