    Excellent....
I'll hire all the drivers to drive my panzers. Don't worry. Alonso already drives a tank.

Flavio plays a blinder here. Undermining Max by calling for him to stop the 'personal' insults and then bring up the whole spankgate affair as to why Mosley is in a weak position to criticise anyone...

The screw is well and truly being turned on the power and money-hungry old men at the top...

i was talking to a guy who is high up in the F1 world ( now retired from the track side) and said thats it was gone too far now... its all about egos and who has the biggest... fota wont back down now... i can only see 2 out comes to this... max goes or fota go..

it would be easy to set up a new champ.... all they need is a few rules... some one to run the whole thing.. for the rules side of things and the TV rights will fall into place...

but it wont go that far id say.. max i hope will just step down..

Ross Brawn is quoted as saying that under EU rules the FIA have to assist with the setting up of the new formula....

Bernie, or rather the CVC own the trade mark F1.. copy right holders

It would be nice to say it is egos, but the monies from Bernie from 2006 has been a bone of contention for some time and request and pleas to resolve the whole issue is assisting the decision to break away.

Spanky has brought the name of the sport into disrepute by his activies and a number of the team CEO, sponsors and major advertisers disprove of his actions.

A management group own CVC, and the monies from the advertisers etc goes into the coffers of people divorced from the sport. The investment is a business proposition and set up to earn the shareholders the monies. Bernie being an employee and shareholder.

Over the years the FOM have sold and bought the advertising rights, the use of the name, the control of the sport. The FIA sold to, then Bernie's company, the TV rights for something silly like 100 years .. Bernis paid approx 30 million..... a quick use of the calculator shows the give a way price but because it was all in a lump sum... Blah blah..

The Economist magazine published an article on Bernie from his start as a motor bike spares dealer, to a motor trader in Bromley to running a team and .. cheating... but hey.. then together with Max taking over the running of F1... at the invitation of the teams of the day..... the whole history of the modern F1 is centred around Bernie and Max .... the exploitation of the name and the sales to MTV, the german TV company not the music channel.. the buying back for an absolute bargain.. then Bambino corporation then SLEC which was a company in his wife's name to own circuits like Spa .. so they could sell space to advertisers and circuit franchises.... then the now public knowledge of the bung to ferrari to stop the teams breaking away..... and a big bung.

The manipulation of the sports racing formula, induce the manufacturers to build a three litre engine...... then reduce F1 to three litre and cancel the sports racing formula and where did the manufacturers go.... to F1... mercedes, Peugeot, and lambo .... Mclaren agreeing a deal with Peugeot and then walking away to a deal with Mercedes... and Peugeot walked...

F1 has always been about wheeling ad dealing and the king pins have been Max and Bernie.....

But, it looks as though it's time for a change thank goodness.

Bernie's ex-wife owns Spa in a tax dodging arrangement. In fact she owns a lot of his business holdings.
