Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ya know on conan, leno etc they have these announcers, like john melendez, so they do the big voice introduction and then it seems they sit watching the show for the rest of the evening...?

    what do announcers do?

particular john melendez just sits there and raises a mug??

    i guess they tell people we're coming back in 5 4 3 2 1 after commercials???

couldn't a stage guy do that?

i know andy richter who isn't a very good voice guy, gets involved in skits like the old guy on conan used to but is his job just to stand at that podium for the next 15 years?

That’s there job... just to welcome in the show... that’s all they do... Id say most sit back stage and watch the show...

In Ireland and UK they are nearly always pre recorded...

A comedian will come in and keep the crowd entertained during breaks and bits where recording has stopped...

Well Andy Richter tends to have a little banter with Conan each show at the start and is involved in some sketches too.
