Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Picasa and posting in forums

    Hey guys,

I'm a regular in other parts of boards but not too familiar with the photography section. I've recently downloaded 'Picasa' as I've heard it's very user friendly for picture posting in forums. I regularly attend events and shows and often post pictures of same in various forums. I was previously using Photobucket but find it very time consuming to upload pictures to. With Picasa the upload is very quick for a large batch of photos but my question is:

How do I publish the selected pictures on a forum in one batch?

Thanks in advance for your help and apologies if this question has been asked before!

I don't think you can, they seem to actively discourage hotlinking, you probably need to look at pix.ie or flickr, there is an export to flickr plugin for picasa so you can export directly from your computer, I dont think Pix have anything similar.

Picasa gives you a link on the right of your pics and album
Its what I use for all my images
(This image is linked on picasa right now)
would seem odd to give you embedded image links and not allow hotlinking

The thread I linked to on the google forums suggests that if they notice the external traffic that they will change the address of the image, with the result that it will dissappear form the forum you have it displayed in. I have no idea how much traffic it takes to make this happen but if it is important to the OP to have the images why take the chance when there are plenty of free alternatives.
