There is a system error on my sister's computer that says "Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API" Does anyone know what this is and if there's any way of fixing it? The computer won't work, thanks.

At what point does it give this error?

When she starts the PC, that comes up on the screen once it's turned on and the computer won't go any further after that.

It's an old computer, she doesn't have Windows XP, she has Windows 2000 and yes it is going in to Hibernate mode.

Thanks BVB. The problem is that that link won't work as she can't even restart the computer. To get rid of that message she has to turn off the computer completely by plugging it out. When she turns it back on the message comes back up again. The only thing that will work for her when she turns on the computer is when she presses F12 it goes in to the Boot menu. That's all she can do. So unfortunately that link won't work. Is there anything else that can be then? Thanks for your help. Oh and she does actually have Windows XP, sorry.

When booting up the PC keep pressing F8 to boot up into safe mode .

Then launch Internet explorer and run the link when finished reboot the Pc
