    Could be wrong here but AFAIK it won't be opening any time soon as there are planning permission problems.

    These may have been sorted and construction underway as I havn't been up that way in a month or so but I'd say it's still a dead site with a big billboard :(

    I could be wrong but I heard aldi were asked to pay extra development fees to upgrade the roads around the site and they refused. Not sure how true that is though.

    Yeah seen them open alright but aint seen anyone actually in the sight. Seen they are back working on the Portlaoise shopping centre again
