Always been tempted to go to one of these. I mean, Jesus, I've been posting here eight years. I dunno, I just find the whole idea kind of intimidating, like everyone will already know each other.

I know how ya feel furry, but I'm gonna give it a go myself the next time. I'll be a total noob to the crew but ya have to start off somewhere. Putting some faces to the posts is enough of a reason to go.

Just walk up to people and introduce yourself. That's what i do.

I'm usually quite drunk at that stage though.

Listen I walked in alone at the last beers to a big group of blokes! (I'm a girl) Doesn't matter..everyone is lovely and I had a wicked night.
I can't recommend going to a beers enough! You won't regret it...and you're a boards veteran at this stage! :pac:

The beers just gone was my first beers ever, plus I've only been on boards since late last year.

I just walked into Karma, strolled up to a table full of people and asked "is this boards" and was told "yes this is the boards section".

So I legged it up to the bar, grabbed a cheap beverage, popped back down to the group, pulled up a chair to the table and introduced myself as Terry.

Worked like a charm!
