I've had an ocarina for almost a year now (plastic, inline, sounds alright) and i haven't really done alot with it. i got it with the intention of teaching myself how to play but soon realized i had little to no resources.

could anyone recommend any websites or books for learning the ocarina? i'm fairly good with music theory, so I'd probably be able to transpose any general pieces, e.g for tin whistle or similar instruments.

even if that's too specific, could anyone recommend a good way to start learning a wind instrument by yourself??

You could try Chiff and Fipple. There's an ocarina specific thread here.
