    Hi,

Im new to the whole gardening thing, so am a bit clueless. Im getting a patio built at the mo and the guy going it dug up all the sods. The grass else where is full of patches from where i spent last summer killing all the weeds and what i was wonder was could I use the sods that have been dug up else where in the garden or would I just be better setting seed(tried filling gaps last year with seed and it didnt grow???)

If setting seed is better then could i do it now?

    Thanks for your help!

personally i'd put seed down but if you don't use you're sods then stack them with the grass against grass in a pile then after a while you'll have nice tilth(crumbly soil)
