A sad day for Tuam but the local eatery Cafe Florence has shut its doors yesterday and all fixtures and fittings have been removed, rumour has it the bailiffs were in this morning. :(

It is a pity as the folks that worked there were always really nice and friendly and I hope they have been looked after by the owner and not left short.

I liked going there but you needed to have time as the length of time it took to get the food was a bit on the long side.

I wander how the Oranmore one is doing?

That shopping centre (if you can call it that) will pretty much go down as a failure, won't it?

Think Silver Spoons on High Street has suffered the same fate. Nothing seems to take off in Tuam. That shopping centre was a bit of a disaster. It needed a proper anchor tenant in a bad way.

Yeah I heard Silver Spoons was gone too.

I think Sarah Roarty has some work on her hands as Chamber of Commerce but I heard she was more worried about some Fashion Show.
