i did all of the part time acting for camera courses in the Gaiety and i have to say i loved them. Great fun and a good way to start a serious acting course without doing the full time one! Highly recommended :)

There is also a Summer residential course run in Gormanston College, co. Meath. Its a breakaway from the DLI course.

I recommend the Gaiety, the tutors are good , the training is top notch and the courses tend to attract a lovely bunch of people.

I would say if you have any knowledge of acting, stay away from the Gaeity!
I did one a couple of years ago and it was a complete waste of money! The Gaeity is a pure money spinner, which is their entitlement as a business, but do not be deceived by the name.

I know people who have even done the full time course and were left a little "disillusioned".

Pay the extra money and do the Stage Works course. Do not be put off by the website. Fantastic courses, great people and a great social aspect.

If you have any questions on either, feel free to PM.

Yeah my friend did the Gaiety full-time course and even he said that all they care about is your money. Warned me from ever going to a course there. He did some in the Abbey School too and highly recommended them over the Gaiety.

I did the Adult Summer Drama with the Gaiety a few years ago and found it brilliant. It really reignited my passion for Drama. Made great friends through the course who I am still in touch with. It gave me more confidence to continue acting. The Gaiety naturally have to make money to continue to offer the courses. If you put in the effort it will come back to you in spades. This industry is all about networking and making contacts and the Gaiety is a great place to start.
