Had some work done recently and used a guy from Swords (I think), who did excellent work and I'd have no problem recommending him. Let me know if you'd like me to PM you his details.

Edited to add: We phoned him on Tuesday, he came out Wednesday to give us a quote, and returned to complete the job on Friday. All done within a few days. Not sure if that's as fast as you meant by "short notice" - but we were quite happy with it.
