iPhone and O2 - Data Allowance

Hi Folks, Was considering going legit on my next iPhone and going bill pay. I have a jailbroken iPhone 2G on Vodafone but don't use EDGE. I was thinking of O2, however the 1GB cap is causing some concern. Has anyone managed to go over it yet? Are O2 ok with a few mb over? Many Thanks!
