Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Insurance question

    Not sure if this is the correct forum but here goes;

    My brother is heading off to oz in August for a year. He has a car now which is insured (in his name only) up till November. He is giving me the car for the year and my question is regarding insurance.

    Is it ok for me to be put down as a named driver (along with my girlfriend who will also be using it) even though my brother will be abroad from August to November? Are there any implications for doing this - does it make the policy invalid?

    I intend to insure the car in my name from November onwards when my brothers policy runs out.

    None that I can think of off the top of my head. Your brother will need to sign the forms etc before he goes. Are you keeping it at the same address as he declared on the proposal form? That's all that comes to mind

    No probs as long as you keep the car it in your brothers name until November.
