Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm in Co.Clare for the summer and I'm taking some pretty amazing touristy type pictures and was just wondering is there any way to make money from these?? Was thinking about printing them out as postcards etc maybe as well??

ive seen people do really well from selling prints on eBay. honestly i think its more those arty flower shots or famous landmarks, like the Brookyln Bridge etc that sell well

I was at a charity auction recently where they had a load of pictures/paintings (with frames) and surprisingly they were the hightest bidded items (in terms of the amount of bidders bidding against each other) and therefore showing me that people still love to get their hands on a good photo/painting.
So.......I'm off to set up my auction house.....details to follow shortly he he !

hmm i might try this... the thing is I dont think you could make ALOT of money from this.. only a few euro id say 10 - 20.. unless you charge alot for them..

Cause when you think about it.. you need to pay:

    90c for ebay listing
€10 - €15 (guess) for print on canvas etc
    another €10 for good postage/packaging

so thats say €26 euro you sell your print for €30 - €35 until you start selling alot.. then you can charge a bit more..

Profit of €9 or does anyone have a better idea?

Hmm I wonder if I will make anything?

Ive posted this on some website/forums I post on! I priced them cheap enough so I reckon I could sell some.

    What do you think?

Just one thing - it's against eBay rules to offer different items in one listing.

You'd like to sort it out.

So I can only sell one at a time?

I think it looks like you took the pictures of your pictures on your bed cover- makes it look unprofessional. might want to at least shoot them on a plain background. just my opinion though, good luck with it!
Like the images though- had a look at your site! :)

No, you can have many copies of the same print. I'm not sure if you can offer them in different size (you can t-shirts, though, but can't find reference to any other items), but since there is different cost for you to print, you'd like to sell them at different price anyway.

I'd keep this auction till it ends hoping that nobody would report it (if somebody does, don't worry - single, non-repetive violation of rules shouldn't do you any harm :) )

When you know if people are interested and in which prints, go for single listings with many copies and print them as you got orders (therefore avoiding beeing stuck with merchandise)'

    what size are the prints?

Postage is also very cheap for a print.

Tubes cost 70c and postage would be more than 80c plus your time for packing and travel to post office.

Thanks lads for the replies! I dont want to go take pictures of them again so ill leave it be for my 1st time but next time ill do it properly!

The prints are all A4 shrunk to fit the page so it can vary a little. One of them is 8" X 8" from my medium format camera!

Im going by an post for pricing it seems to be 1.50 for anywhere in the EU & USA for a large envelope!

    Whats tubes now?

Another way to make money from your photos is to put them on an 'image selling ' site where you get a percentage of the selling price.

This might only be 50 cents a time - but it ticks up over time if your photos are popular- Istock is probably the foremost

No you do not have to pay - but their standards for accepting images are quite high so it can be a bit of a pain (hate to admit it but most of mine are rejected- but at the same time I have made $227 in the last 18 months- which is better than nuthin!)
