Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tyre Inflation Kit - Renault Scenic

Hi, I have a Renault grand scenic. It doesn't have a spare tyre, it has a 'tyre inflation kit'. I got a puncture last week. It works very well. A little compressor blows this white 'gunk', from the supplied bottle into the tyre as it inflates it.

However, when I contacted my local Renault garage to get a replacement bottle of this liquid, they quoted me €72 incl. VAT. Sound like a bit of a rip off to me. Surely this stuff (about 250MLS) cannot be this expensive.

Does anyone on here know where I might scource spurious bottles of this liquid. Any help greatly appreciated.

Any decent motor-factors will have the same sort of stuff for much less. The only difference being it doesnt have a Renault badge on it.

Also, "Aquire" a spare tyre. That inflation kit doesn't work if the whole's too big, or if you kerb the bloody thing and knock it off the rim.

Tried a few motor factors locally, (Kilkenny) no luck. There's no 'wheel well' in the boot for a spare

It mounts van-style underneath. It is the biggest crock of a placement on the planet. But it can fit one.

I'm nearly sure Finn Reddy (think its EP mooney Renault now) on the Naas Rd qouted me less than €30 last year for a new can.

You have to try find the cage to hold the tyre somewhere. Dont think Renault do it as a spare. I read a discussion on Renault forums before about it and peopel were findign them very hard to find in the UK, nevermind here.

You'd really have to just get lucky in a scrap yard.
