    meh from me

i dont see how his anymore important than the 228 people that died on af447 but it was okay to laugh at them
nobody's saying its any more important.
It really mystifies me how people dont understand how people can be upset when someone who was a role model or inspiration, dies.

jesus!! if thats what gets you through tough times, then go listen to a song now. indirect influence may affect people differently. i know music cheered me up when i was down but when an artist who made those songs died, i was saddened but wasnt deeply affected. but i really cant see why the Pro-mj'ers on here wont allow people to voice opinions against the ones they have.

You are entitled to be upset, and people are entitled to be puzzled as to why. In return you are entitled to question why they dont feel like you do. Thats kinda like a discussion really isnt it? But to tell people to "f*ck away" really defeats the purpose of a discussion forum now doesnt it?
I'm not really that upset. Im a fan but it doesn't effect me massively. I'm making a point that not everyone is taking it easily and critisising them without knowing what they could associate him with isnt discussion, its just cruel.

Think the role model part is the problem.

Though in fairness, don't think anybody has suggested that Einstein?

Gotta say, he wasn't my cuppa tea, but if people feel like I did when Kurt died, then I can fully understand and comprehend. A legend and genius gone :(

Ya' know. When my Aunt Elizabeth died, we got all those saying how wonderful she was, what a great human being she was. NO, she was not. She was a miserable biatch, and moaned about everything all her life.
Jacko contributed so much to world music, but he was no angel.
End of story, tell it like it is.

I think that comment was directed at the hideous job Rabies has ahead modding this thread, not at MJ's death.

Can't say I was ever a huge fan myself. But his work has stood up for over thirty years and has touched the hearts of many. I know some of the younger folk will remember his later work but to me he'll always be the little boy who kicked Elvis.
