    !

    Hello internet world :D

MJ, great entertainer - hugely flawed individual - meh.

I grew up with his music through its best years, it was truely brilliant at the time but that was so long ago his many flaws have over taken the great music IMO.

I feel sad for his children, I couldn't give a rats arse for his fans 'grief'

    .

    Impressive stat non the less.

To say the guy had problems would be understatement.
Nobody can deny the music, I grew up listening to MJ - I even had the red leather jacker :)

As for fans grief - well lets just say some people go over the top. I'm saddened by the news but not grieving.

The first album I ever bought was the Bad album on tape (Jesus I'm old).
You couldn't escape the MJ frenzy back then, it was everywhere and the scenes of his fans at concerts was crazy.
People passing out all over the place.
He was clearly a very flawed & troubled individual but the most famous entertainer of all time none the less.

TBH I'd say he would have lasted a few gigs at most anyway.
No way would he have lasted 50 dates considering how frail he was.
It would have been a freak show IMO which would have tarnished his rep even more.

He's such a legend, the internet was actually slowed down last night by people checking to verify his death.

Looking at the itunes charts now and a lot of his albums are in the top 10 again, amazing how his death is sparking such a huge reaction.
It's probably to early to tell, but could we compare his death to that of Lennon or Presley?

I wonder if the boost will get the last 250 million album sales to get up to 1 billion albums sold.

    Lennon, no. Presley, yes.

Justin Timberlake is trying to save his concerts at the 02 in London. Not sure what he has in mind, some sort of tribute I guess.

Are you kidding? Whacko is not in that category.

Also neither had allegations of molesting children surrounding them. ("Not proven" should be an option in court).

I'm talking purely about the music, he has to be up there.

Its strange to think back now and remember growing up listening to MJ's Music and how much I enjoyed it .
RIP Jacko . You were the Greatest !!!!

Woah, anyone with Sky or something flick over the music channels.

It is, it's called "not guilty."

Under Scots law, a criminal trial may end in one of three verdicts: one of conviction ("proven") and two of acquittal ("not proven" and "not guilty").

Michael Jackson not in the same category as Lennon or Presley?
    Are you for real?

The man is easily in the same category.

I can't believe anyone can be so prejudiced to actually believe he isn't in the same league as lennon and elvis.

IMO He was miles ahead of Elvis and he was even better than the Beatles.

No-one can beat the king of rock and roll which is elvis presley although MJ was up there with some of the best...
