yes, a topical news event is clearly the cause of the nations current state. Look, i tell you what, start a thread about how awful everything is, and i'll come hang out with you there.
Granted i won't really be sure which one of the 50 million asinine, whinefests it is, but i'll persevere.

Cos heaven forbid you don't have your super-special opinion validated.

Not the event buddy, the reaction

So,you want everybody to row in behind you and get all broke up about MJ's passing.??Have a little breakdown about it?

News for you pal, other people have contrary opinions to yours, and are perfectly entitled to express them here.

Jackson was an extremely talented person who could perform,no more ,no less,so pardon me if I don't curl up into a ball and dive into deep depression about his death.

I have better things to do.

    Why are you posting here??

I know it sounds awful but sometimes I think Michael Jackson has gone into hiding and that his death was staged. Because of all the allegations and debt, that this was planned and that is why there was no 'lying in state' so we could not see him to verify.

Apologies to mods about this but what do you mean?

If someone has a contrary view of these events is it against board rules?

I'm posting my views in a calm coherent way, if I am breaking any rules Mods please let me know.

Don't tell me to feck off out of any thread Sir.

You're not breaking any rules, no.

What you are doing is idiotic though which is why you're being told to feck out of the thread.

your 'contrary' view basically entails coming in and going 'go find something better to do'. while you may saying this calmly and coherently, that doesnt really excuse coming into a thread just to tell everyone in here to do something else and stop wasting our time.

There is a billion people worldwide who are watching right now, and yes, i DO have better things to be doing. However, considering I would consider myself a fan of michael jackson, and its not every day a worldwide icon is buried, i am going to watch it, and im going to show some respect for anyone else who decides to do the same.

i apologise for telling you to feck off out of the thread, but i dont think there is any need to come into the thread with the attitude you have. Also, apologies to the mods for taking the thread off topic.

Read the title of this thread!!!!
Mod - I think a barring wouldn't be completely unreasonable here!

I know it says no jokes and as such this doesn't qualify but..surely the thread title can be changed?
Maybe something like "Michael Jackson Death discussion thread - CHAT, NOT JOKES, NO RETARD COMMENTS"

His family were allowed to decide what way they wanted to celebrate it.
The cheering in the crowd during the silences are annoying me

I've not been the biggest fan in recent years, alot to do with age and the rest I suppose. I have had mixed feelings about this whole thing, but watching now it is very emotional and it has got to be said that is one hell of a memorial, it is quite a way to be remebered. Stevie was awsome as was Jennifer. As the guy on BBC2 said Al really had no need for a mic.....:)
