Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think I'm going to buy the ViviTar Vivicam V8010 8MP Digital Camera.

    I currently have a Fujifilm Finepix S5600.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of the vivcam?

    Would love some opinions.

    I currently have a Fujifilm Finepix S5600.

The S5600 is a fine camera from a fine photographic company. I doubt that the Vivitar would compare at all. Why not stick with another Fuji or perhaps a more popular brand - Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Pentax..... there are many of them with great reputations in both P&S and DSLR.

I think the vivitar SLRs were made (like so many other ones) by Cosina anyway, so they were about as good as any of the other entry level film SLRs. Ever wonder why all the entry level targeted at students cameras look sorta similar ?

-edit- this includes (a lot of people don't seem to realise this) the Nikon FM-10 and FE-10. Both were made by Cosina under licence to Nikon -edit-
