Hi Guys & Gals, A "Stop" is flashing on and off on the dash. Not sure as to why this is happening. I've checked the oil and it doesn't appear to be anything obvious. Has anyone encountered this before and of so what was the problem?

This happened to me a while ago - battery needed to be replaced; basically I wouldn't continue to drive until this gets sorted

Is there any other light coming on a the same time? Is the radio display showing a message? The STOP light usually comes on in conjunction with another warning light.

You've checked the engine oil but have you checked the brake fluid?
