Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    from howthcoastguard.com

"This Sunday 28th of June at 3.00pm Howth Harbour will be the location for a joint Search and Rescue demonstration involving the Coast Guard Helicopter, Civil Defence, Howth Coast Guard unit and the Lifeboats of the RNLI.

The best place to watch is on the end of the East Pier in Howth where the demonstration will be performed in front of you. Bring your camera!"

I was hoping to go along to it, depending on what else I have on for Sunday.

Could be an interesting photo op.

If you are heading out, try to get the DART. The road traffic can tail back all the way to the Bull Island Causeway on sunny weekends and it can sometimes take an hour to get through this. Howth Festival is on, so it it might even be worse than that.

Drop into our station afterwards to see all our cliff rescue equipment. It's mid-way down the West Pier.
