Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Water pump just kicked the bucket on my 2000 Mercedes E220 - curious to know how much I can expect to have it replaced. Have to wait till Monday and have been searching online and can't find any prices. Cheers for any info.

You'll probably be aswell changing the timing belt and

tensioner while your doing the water pump.

+1-doesn't the timing belt have to come off to access the water pump? And once the timing belt comes off, it is not suitable to put it back on (unless the Merc has a chain, or the timing belt is fairly new?) (open to correction on this of course). If that's the case, the cost of the water pump is the least of your worries as labour costs are generally significant enough for timing belt related work.

A new pump (oem quality) should be 100 euros or there abouts . labour should be between 1 and two hours. coolant about 20/30 euros and thats it. Not a big job on the merc as you only have to take off the rad surround/viscous fan/serpentine belt. Don't let them fit a cheap pump. the don't last.

Water pump €95, fan belt €30, labour €60....not too bad. Was thinking it would be a bigger hit than that. Thanks for the replies :)
