Landrover Defender Parts

    Hi,
    I just got a 2001 landrover defender TD5 and im looking for a few parts/accessories.
    Looking for a Adjustable rear tow hitch and a pair of foldable side steps.

    I know that alot of defenders that have these parts fitted so im looking to buy some used parts. So does anyone know a breakers ect. that might have what im looking for?

    In Ireland, no specialist breakers but if you look at partsfinder.ie some yards have a couple. In UK you have CWS and Equicar.

    TBH, a new Dixon Bate hitch isn't that dear and Paddocks do reasonable postage rates from the UK. Same with foldable side steps, S/H are likely to be bent and rusty.

    While you're shopping, get a Nanocom, godsend to TD5 owners, lets you talk to the ecu with going near a dealer.;)

    i have a pair here that were removed to go offroading they are the genuine land rover fold up/down ones

    Just been posted on the Ireland section of Land Rover Addicts, nothing to do with me, just thought it may be useful -

    Hi all,

    A mate has set up as a Land Rover only breaker yard. He is located between Hacketstown and Rathvilly Co. Carlow . He has a good range of stuff from Series, 200/300 Tdi to TD5 and he also collects the infirm, dead and dying too!!!

    His name is Kevin Jones and he is a top bloke call him on 087 2793307 if you need bits. I am putting this message up for him cos he is not on broadband yet.
