Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Excellent series of photographs, what lens did you use?

Wow. Looks like the rain added to the day, as #5 is one of my favourites. And I like #10 & 11 a lot. But basically I totally agree with TheNorthBank.

    Cheers, I was shooting with a 70-200 2.8 and a 1.4X converter.

Yeah but it was crap to shoot in, especially on slippery grassed slopes with sharp rocks down below. :)

I cannot wait to take my new (lovely) 70-200 f2.8 VR & 1.7 converter there!

    Nice set :)

Fantastic pics, looks like a teleconvertor would be a way to go :-)

Pictures are truely stunning, i'm always amazed that we have such amazing (and thriving by the looks of it )wildlife so close to hand.

    again, its a fantastic set

To be honest, you can get so close to them, it wouldn't be the end of the world if you didn't have a converter. In places, I had to flip the switch on the lens to allow me focus so close to them.

Very true. I had 400mm on fullframe and I had to walk a lot to zoom out :)
Even wide angle could be used in place(s).

Depends on how happy you are on the edge of a cliff :)

I only had the 70-200, no converter, and nothing longer, and I didn't get anything like the shots you guys got by being a bit braver. On the plus side, I got to go paddling and you didn't!

I'm expecting to see Thonda the next day with a set of ropes/harness so
he can abseil over and get just that little bit closer to his beloved puffins!

We could've paddled if we wanted! We just chose to use the rocks to get
    back to the dinghy.

Does anyone else think that's Mommy Gannet in the background of #11 thinking "You're not doing it right" ?

Well done, great set, particularly the gannets - 10,12 and 15 are superb.
