Closer you would get here in Waterford would be Dunmore East. It has holiday villages, water sports facilties etc.

Have a look at www.clonea.com - near Dungarvan, Co Waterford.

try these and they are very reasonable priced . Tramore is a nice holiday resort

Tramore would not be my choice, can be full of boyracers and other "undesireables". Dunmore is pretty, but can be expensive. Clonea is close to Dungarvan if the weather turns foul and the beach is clean and safe.

Clonea hotel has pool etc, not sure re kids' club. Would the quality hotel outside Youghal be too far for you?

My friends stayed in Clonea with their kids a while back & loved it. They stayed in the holiday cottages & not in the hotel itself. They said there were activities & clubs for the kids as well as the usual swimming pool etc.

+1 for clonea too - we found it really family friendly, e.g. in the evenings they didn't mind the kid being in the bar.
