** July Poker Goals **

This is something I've been seeing more and more of on 2+2, at the start of each month a "Goals for the Month" thread appears, people post their intentions and sometimes the odd prop bet pops up.

i.e. its one thing to say to yourself "I'll play 10k hands this month" and then not bother with it, its another thing altogether if you've posted in a public forum that you'll play 10k hands this month and then fail.

As a thread it might catch on, it might not, but I'm hoping it will serve as even a small motivator for the following month. With this in mind I'll get the ball rolling.

1) Play 20k hands between 20nl and 50nl
2) Show profit after these 20k hands
3) Cash in a live tournament.

Last month I played 10k hands and showed a small profit, and final tabled 2 tournaments but failed to cash, so roll on July...!

My goals for July are to play 0 hands and take a break for the month and concentrate on my golf.

Exams coming up in August so little or no poker in July for me, my goal therefore is to have a horsey cash for a substantial amount at the WSOP.

1. Complete bankroll management project. I need to make $330 profit in 64x$6.50 games, with a few 180-mans thrown in. It'll be very tricky without a big score in one of the 180s.

2. Withdraw and deposit on another site for a deposit bonus.

I've managed to do number 4, only for him to turn over a better hand and for me to suck out for a 350BB pot IIRC. Fun fun fun.


Goals would probably be

1. 25k hands
2. €2.5k online
3. Cash the devilfish SNG thing.
4. Play some live cash and make €500
5. Get past round 2 of the upcoming Father & Son golf matchplay.

Lol yeah. Halfbaked at the table IIRC. Wasn't overly a slowroll, just a pause to convince myself that I really did have the nuts, and then a call.
