Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

To the best of my knowledge, toad have no authorized dealers in the republic.

Is there any particular reason you're going for a TOAD? If it's purely for central locking theres plenty of places that will sort that for you locally.

Toad are good, have one on my english import celica. Seem ok systems. Don't know whether theres a pile of difference between them and clifford entry level series.

    www.mdsireland.ie do all alarm systems.

Its mostly because that particular model, the RK30, has the full closure for mark IV Golf/ MK I Octavia ie windows and sunroof.

That would be my main reason for getting that particular one, although id much prefer to get the kit and the install from under one roof

but VWs already have total closure through the factory key, shouldn't be too big a deal to find an alarm that'll integreate with this?

Ya, they do. Its a 2000 Octavia that i drive, unfortunately without the remote locking.

What i meant was that the TOAD RK30 integrates into the total closure allowing it with the "lock" button held down. I just figure if im going to get one i might aswell get one that has that nifty little extra guaranteed :D

And i haven't actually found another yet that has that option......

I'm pretty sure most Clifford alarms have this feature. have you asked any fitters for an alarm with total closure?
