Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

How do I get a motorbike license?
Already have car. Do I still need to pass the theory test before I can get the provisional 2 years license?

    Cheers

    Alright cheers mate

Is a 750cc reasonable size knowing that I have 10 years car driving and 30+ years old to start?
I am 19 stones, now way I am gonna get a 500cc or less :D

I know how to drive them , drove in the army and took the official 20 hours classes in motorbike school in France but never got the chance to take the exam.

    Will HP be restricted too?

    Last i checked your restricted to a power /weight ratio that is 25 kw/33bhp- 750s a bit much unless its a cruiser/chopper!

You could get a restricted sportsbike, or most cruisers are learner legal and don't need to be restricted.

    33HP seriously?
I know in France this is the case up to 21 years old, after that no restriction.
I was hoping it would be the same here.

Seriously with 33HP I am not gonna anywhere near 50Kmh lol.

Dunno about that. A friend of my brother just got a restricted honda hornet 600. I had a very quick spin on it and and it seemed nippy enough to me.

Most restrictions affect top end power, so at lower speeds its as good as full power.

ya still get around 100mph outta a restricted bandit 6. Thats what I heard anyways. Never tried it when I had a bandit of course.
