Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

So my 1st provisional licence is up end of next week. How to I get a new one? I have tried ringing the RSA and Motor Tax Office but no answer (shock). I also asked driving instructor but she didn't know :(

The only form I found on the internet was for applying for Provisional Licence (Form D.201)...is this the form I use?

Can I do it by Post? Or do I have to go into my local MTO in person?

Do I need a new eye test cert etc?

Do I need to show proof of applying for driving test (which I have done)

    Checklist:
    • Completed form
    • 2 passport photos signed on reverse
    • old licence (sniff)
    • monies

    Is this all?

    Cheers!!
    Bootz

Although the D.201 form is available for download on some motor tax office websites, it will not be accepted :pac::pac: as it requires the peel off label with your signature to put on your new LP.

You can pick up a D201 form in any Garda station ;)

    This is not true!!

You download the form from the motor tax/county council website, fill it in, then sign your name on a sticky address label and send that in with the form. Simple!

OP - I got my 2nd one just recently. I printed out the form, posted it in with my signed sticky label, 2 passport photos, 1st provisional and cheque for €15, had my new one sent out to me a week later. Easy :)

Thanks Arcade Fred....I have booked tomorrow morning off work to go in though.

Anyone know the queueing times are like at the MTOs?

Your driving instructor doesn't know how you would go about getting a second licence.

If i was you i would get another instructor
