    Ivey Eliminates Graydon
We picked this hand up on the turn with a board of 9c 5h Qh 7c.

Michael Graydon checked the action to Phil Ivey who moved all in. Graydon made the call for his last 106,000 and showed Ad9d for second pair, putting him way behind Ivey's KdKc.

When the river brought the 7s, Graydon found no help and made his way to the rail. Ivey has now joined the million chip club.

is there any live coverage of this? audio or visual not text?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,263 ✭✭✭strewelpeter

The results from the WSOP site are here

Amazing that there was such an extremely close finish. The record shows that Andy Black was the last man standing from our Irish players list
    $400 shipped to Glowingmind

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,297 ✭✭✭ionapaul

Yep, correct decision IMHO. Well done Glowingmind!

Have a feeling Kenny Tran will outlast the other three left in the Rest of the World side of the competition.

I don't see how it is as clear cut as this.

Maybe Nicky can tell us what happens when you go out? If, as I suspect, you are given a payout amount and not a finishing position then the staff would know exacly how much Andy is being paid and can delay him with an interview easily enough leading to him cashing out after Nicky, and his name would then be higher on the list.

I think Nicky said in the other thread that he was just knocked out and was leaving when someone told him Andy was out. Whoever told him must have left Andy's table and come over to Nicky. It has to be a very very close indeed and I just don't see it is this clear. Nicky's cash out being processed first doesn't necessarily mean he was out first.

Also if it is going to stand as it is then that's fine.

In fairness if Nicky had not mentioned this we would have went on the placing only and Andy wins. But as this other information has come up I think maybe it's not this simple.

Maybe Glowingmind could add what he thinks.

Me thinks he will be holding on to 400 big ones, it has to go on the official list.

    I agree.

I reckon the shout of player gone is when the player is marked down as being eliminated. I cant see them waiting til an interview is over, or waiting until a player walks from the far side of the room etc. The official list should stand
