Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say Drumcondra has been sorted drainage-wise since the last flood, when Bertie still mattered. Hope it's ok anyway. Also hope the rain stops before Bray tomorrow -- I think their away section must win the prize for the most exposed seating in sport anywhere!

Yeah it sure is. I remember a match against you a few years ago and it was pissing down and some of your fans in the uncovered section were actually dancing around. WTF?

Bohs should win tonight. I don't see how we're going to get anything from this one.

Last time there was a deluge in Dalyer Cork fans were let escape to the Jodi. There is no escape in the Carlyle, and it is also blessed by the coldest sea breeze on the island.

Yeah but it would seem that some clubs are more equal to others when it comes to rain and Dalyer.

Shels fans are always left in the Connaught, even though when Bohs come to Tolka they are let into the Riverside to tear up seats.

And the Connaught is a kip.

Remember the LC match? We got left out in the lashing rain on the Connaught even though we were told we'd be in the Des Kelly.

BTW where is the Carlyle!? Carlisle my friend, it's spelt Carlisle.:P

Oh well. Let's just say the Carlisle is the coldest place on the island for Bohs fans. And, er, the Riverside is not exactly the Ritz.

    Seven nil.

    Bisto was shíte tho.

Seven bleedin nil all the same.

    lol

    Love winning 7-0

Should have been double figures if Bisto took his chances.

But winning 7-0 in a league match is special.

    WOOOOOO

    Good win;
    Must have been fun

    but:p
    list of Galway teams
    Galway
    Galway A
    Galway U21
    Salthill Devon
Some pub team with ex galway players
    Mervue?:p

It cant be doing them good being in the league?

Harps, Town's and Kildare must be shocking to be at same level

and people actually want Div 1 on Tv:confused:
Would do the league image harm imo

It wasn't. Bisto didn't score. He should have had 4 and made it double figures.

    I'd disagree.

They are holding there own, of course tonight and being beaten 7-0 doesn't show that, but in fairness to them, they never gave up. If they had a finisher, it would have been 7-4.

I don't want Div 1 near a telly. I've said that since we went down. No way.

Glorious sunshine at Carlisle after all. :D

And 1-3 to the Bohs. Would have been more if the ref wasn't on a personal crusade to rid the game of tackling.

We were woeful in the first half, absolutely awful. We didn't create anything, don't think their keeper had 1 shot to save (he did take over a minute for every kick-out though ).

Second half was much better, simply because we couldn't have been any worse. We look suspect at the back with Oman playing I think, bring Jay back in there and we'd be much better off. Heary was woeful too I thought. We'd want to step it up massively with European games  coming up.

Thought Deego's sending off was a bit harsh. The 2 yellows were the kind of tackles he let other players away with and just gave a free kick. The inconsistency is the annoying thing. Carey could have been sent off though for kicking out at their full back. The bloody eejit.

3 points and job done though, nice to watch a game of football in the sunshine in Bray for once!

Don't boast yet mate. ('Mad') Mickey Collins played last night when some say he should have been suspended. He was given a suspension at the start of the season for the next competitive loi game after being sent of in a friendly against Drogheda, which he hasn't served yet!!!!:D

Taking Guntars with him? He actually looks so lost on the pitch! Why oh why did he take Faz and O' Donnell off instead of Siligalis. Madness

Really sickening night, especially with Behan missing that absolute sitter!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

Great finish from Guy, we deserved something from the game tho. Is there someone missing for cork? behan up front on his own at home.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

^ No complaints from me anyway. I think we had one shot on target all night. Behan has been upfront alone all season, its the dubs tactics. No one missing.

Behan is just rubbish. The sooner everyone realises that the better. How many points must he cost us because he cannot finish a one on one? As for Silgalis, I genuinely feel sorry for the guy. He is clearly out of his depth, everyone can see this, but the pigheaded dub on the sideline will not give in. Sooner he fúks off back from where he came from the better. Not wanted anywhere enar the club or indeed the City as a whole.

I heard the Cork fans bought Doolin a pint ? Any more on the rumour of Doolin getting a full pint thrown over him ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,838 ✭✭✭doncarlos

Got a text saying the same sarge, gotta laugh. Doubt Doolin seen the funny side though.

Wtf has happened Cork, they went from the top club (best ground, attendances, team) in my opinion in the League of Ireland to an absolute joke shop. Still can't believe they made so many signings pre season. They'll be lucky if they still have a club in a few weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,220 ✭✭✭20 Times 20 Times

Shortly after Sean Connor took over Dundalk we tried to sign Faz and O'Donnell they both opted fr Cork who in turn offered more wages. When reflecting on that decision how on earth are the able to offer more wages when they cant even pay what they owe.

    **** cork city

Behans probably the best striker we have at the moment though. Doolin should try and offload Silagalis in the window because its just not working out for him and he may only get worse as his confidence suffers.

Every time ive seen him play this season hes been brutal. I don't normally like slagging off our players too much but he isn't fit to wear the jersey.

We desperately need a decent striker though.
