Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like Numero Uno, I've heard good things about the new place by the Halfway, can't think of the name of it now, you also have the large chains of Apache and Dominio. Some people like Golden Pizza as well, I can't remember the name of the place by the Courthouse either but some people rave about it

Remix is the name of the place down from the Halfway. Really nice pizzas, free delivery and very clean place.

    1. Pizza Ritz (by courthouse)
    2. Golden Pizza
    3. Numero Uno

I haven't tried Remix yet. The best place was The Long Dock but that's gone now.

I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I love their food but it's sooo over priced, oh yeah, and bad for you! :D

Pedantic pat says it's Lapizza Ritz and it is the best in town too!

The 'Numero Uno' pizza in Numero Uno is the best pizza in town.
Remix is good too, and does great kebabs.

The Sicilian in Parnell Street is great as well.

Forget all them, PAPAs Pizza is the best, and the cheapest

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,949 ✭✭✭BLITZ_Molloy

    Where's Papa's pizza? Haven't tried that.

Forgot the Sicillian. Food in there isn't amazing, but the pizza is excellent if you want to sit down and have one.

Its it the "Pizza Quarter of Ennis" across from apache around the corner from Dominos, below a Chinese and beside on Offy. This area is know for its exotic cuisine!

I got an excellent pizza in that place where Henry J's used to be, seems to be empty every time I go in there though

Cant go wrong with Golden Pizza, Numero Uno or Ritz pizza. Much cheaper than the likes of dominos too.
Ritz also do nice burgers etc too.... actually i'm getting hungry now..

I miss the long dock too, Eddie rockets can be horrible sometimes ate in the one in limerick a few weeks ago, i felt sick after it...
But i'll reserve my judgement till it opens

  • Registered Users Posts: 201 ✭✭Mcloke

The restaurant space is just too big for a place like Ennis...Long Dock as good as it was (most of the time) was normally pretty empty.
Maybe Eddie's will do better but I am not sure that it will...especially with it being so out of town....will wait and see I guess.

Re the OP...I don't eat tomato sauce and was wondering if any of the places mentioned are happy to make up a pizza without it :) in Italy a "white" pizza is no problem but that seems not to be the case in Ireland.

henry js is a great place for pizza. not a fan of the chips in remix.

Dominos is good but pricey, and the desserts are just sugar. Dont be fooled by their cookie/brownie shell!:D

Pizza Ritz is good too. Especially good doner kebabs, chips, chicken wraps and sides in general.

Apache Pizza is good. Reasonable, Quality Food.

Golden Pizza i.e Cardboard Pizza:D I avoid it at all costs, but some people just swear by it.

Henry J's is good value and always empty. Bring your girl there and pretend that you romantically rented out the whole restraunt for the night!:pac:

    Little experience of the Sicilian.

No experience of Remix or Papa's Pizza.

I have a history with Numero Uno. The pizza is quite nice, but the staff can be really obnoxious and rude. I used to be a regular customer but now will not go there because of the staff!

    Hope this helps!:D

Golden Pizza do the thin crunchier types of pizzas. Numero Uno does the doughey American type ones. Just down to taste. I find Numero Unos a bit soggy sometimes.

remix by the halfway is atrocious(dominos rip off but worse) and I had a golden pizza the other day and it was rubbish.

Apache are the best at the moment, especially mid week where you can get a proper pizza for under a tenner Staff are nice as well

Haha.. it's funny how much opinions vary. I think Apache is horrible. Really soggy pizza. I'd only rate it slightly above Dominos, which is the most overpriced and nasty pizza ever.

Yep, think the exact same as BLITZ_Molloy and the complete opposite of Akrasia

Pizza Ritz by a coutry mile for me lads. Their Garlic and Cheese wedges are pretty nice with a large Pepperoni.

Papas have gone downhill since they 1st opened, their chips are nice but their pizzas have really been dumbed down. They give you salami instead of pepperoni for example, its tasteless.

Had Apache twice and no complaints. Free delivery too.

Dominos is just balled up grease- disgusting.

Numero Uno- The reason they are soggy is because they pack the box into a plastic bag, when you get a pizza there insist they DO NOT do this, you will see the difference big time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,377 ✭✭✭Warper

Numero Unos is the best, though can be soggy - must check out the plastic bag tip

    Apaches is rank

    Dominos is nice

I find the Large Pizzas in most places crap as the slices are just too big and dangly with fcuk all on em. The best are the personal or small pizzas.

Eddie Rockets is beautiful - bacon and cheese fries with an atomic burger or chilli cheese dog - hmmm. Is pricey enough though but grand once a day anyways.
