    Fairly active storm passing into Dundalk the last 10 minutes...4-5 IC strikes and a lot of thunder. Hasn't started rainign yet.

    Breaks of sun and showers in Wicklow. Managed to get a nice long walk in before the showers started. Nice compared to yesterday:)

    This is my first post to Boards.ie.

    The weather in my area is reasonbly quiet with a few light showers around. Not feeling too warm. Thunder was heard by a friend 12 miles away.:(

    Total monsoon.
    Rain rate peaked at 105.2mm/hr with absolute rivers of water going down the yard.
    Eased back to 12mm/hr now but at the height of it all you could hear was the roar of the downpour.

    Total so far 17.3mm

    eased off here now -still raining but at 1.52mm/hr
    Total so far 18.3mm.
    Looking at the radar sequence,the blob really grew in intensity as it hit mid wexford northwards.

    Heavens opened up here in Dundalk, 7.2mm of rain in last ten minutes, 13.4mm in total so far today.

    Yup end of the world type downpour here for the last half hour or so....flood's rising on the road outside my house. Looks like there was some fireworks down the coast from this cell but it's weakened now...

    Some downpour alright.

    My last post @ 19.24 rain level 7.2mm, now 19.32 and level is 10.3mm, back garden is like a swimming pool.

    So far today we were having light outbreaks of rain or showers with glimmers of sunshine. Temps of 16 or 17C. Wil post this evening if we get thunder or a very heavy shower.
