Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

can't start car.

    my mothers 07 astra won't start. i don't have any jump leads to get the car started. is their any way to get it going

    near the boder of roscommon in a small village of galway. i have leads but my mother went with my car

    Is there petrol in it? Any reason you suspect the battery has drained? Could be starter motor also.

    Put it into 2nd gear keeping your foot on the clutch, turn the key so the ignition is on, get someone to push preferably down a hill, when you gather speed release the clutch & the car should start...

    yeah theirs just under half a tank. this is the 3rd time the car battery has gone dead. she really needs a new battery

    its parked outside the house on a slope. i would have to let the car roll oon to a main road and i don't fancy doing that when its not my car

    Do you or any of your family have AA cover, or maybe your mother has breakdown cover on her insurance.

    i don't. i think she mite. theres a garage i can walk to. but i don't wanted to borther them when there finished
