Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

ok i got a friend of mine to get me some new tyres for me.

he got some one to fit them as a nixer but when they came back there was nono of them little metal sqaure you see on the edge of the rim.

the car is a ford mondeo and i just have normal wheels on it, since the new tyres have gone on iv noticed the car been shakier (if tha makes sense) it was never like that before.

will getting the wheels balanced sort this out?

Drive the car at about 50mph and hold the wheel with your fingertips. If the wheel is shaking alot then your wheels need to be balanced.

If the steering pulls to the left or right, then the alignment needs to be done too.

First thing to check though, its check all your tyres have the same pressure. I think about 30PSI is used on the mondeos.

    3 things to check,

    1.wheel balancing
    2.twisted tyre
    3.Buckled wheel rim

Firstly i would get all four wheels balanced, that will tell you if the wheel is buckled or the tyre is twisted.

Sounds like balancing. normally you get a shake at arond the the 50/60mph level. this will go away at around 80.
if you have alloys you may find that they have "blind balanced" the wheels. which (not too technical) is not as efficient as standard balancing,
as satted above get the 4 wheels done.

the tyres look ok and i never had this problem before so i doubt it could be a twisted rim.
