    hey guys/girls

just looking into building a PC and i have most of it sorted (I hope!!).

The ram i'm looking at is compatible with my processor but the motherboard mentions the RAM it supports is DDR3-1333 PC3-10666 while the RAM 'im looking at is DDR3-1333 PC3-10600. will they work with each other?

i've been googling for a while and havent a simple answer yet!

    cheers
    adam

What motherboard and processor have you opted for? It's a tad hard tell what the story is otherwise. ;)

thats what i initially thought as well but it seems there is PC3-10666 ram as well as PC3-10600. its been a while since i've been looking for ram and this really confused me! and i see there's also PC3-10660 ram just to add more confusion!

They're essentially the same thing; had this a while back with PC2-5400 (675MHz) and PC2-5300 (666MHz) while JEDEC argued about the exact standard
