I can't shave downstairs with a razor at all, I end up looking like I have the crotch-specific-plague. Red and spotty and itchy as feck.

Bah ha ha 'crotch plague'...brilliant :D It's funny coz it's so true!!

yep but not shaved or waxed, lasered permanantly - 100% gone (not for the faint hearted)

Is it expensive to get that done? how many sessions would you need to be 100% hair free??? I'm quite dark...

Laser hair removal is the best thing that I have ever done! My armpits are completely hair-free now, heaven!

    I would definitely recommend it!
I have never shaved in my life, always waxed.

Really? At what age did you start waxing, if you don't mind me asking?

Oh, about 12/13 I think, can't really remember to be honest!

I'm definately going to get bikini line lasered when i can.
    Others:
    - Upper Lip lasered

    - Shave armpits (but they're next on my 'laser list')
    - Shave legs (not really bothered about legs. even though the hair is dark, I'll only shave them if they're being exposed)
    - don't go near my arms and never will! I'd say arms would be pretty painless via the laser route though
    - eyebrows plucked every second day (hair is fine but dark)

Can i ask does it leave any marks on your face when you get your upper lip lasered?

Ah . . . I only ask because I can't imagine my mother would've been so keen on taking me to get waxed when I was a pre-teen!

I got mine from these guys

(there's a bit of a NSFW hands-on-the-crotch picture on the background of this page)

    http://www.body4real.co.uk/product.php?productid=17868&js=y

they offer special offers packages that kinda come with a lot of stuff you don't need or probably already have (and you don't use shaving gel with it so the packages including a fancy shaving gel are a rip), if I was going for it again I'd get it from somewhere that just sold the shaver on its own

Where did you get the laser removal done? I've noticed lots of places doing it and special offers on etc but I'd like to know where is worth going. I know Brazilia do it. Now that it's coming into the winter I'd like to have it done. How many sessions do you need to have and is it expensive?

I love waxing but unless you have it done professionally, it can be time consuming and can grow back quickly. Though, I do wax my legs regularly. Other times I just shave but I need to do it everyday then, unlucky me!

While we're on the topic I'd like to get other's opinions on the Gilette Embrace razor. I fell victim to their advertising, thinking it'd be amazing in matter of fact I found it to be the most ineffective out of the majority of the venus range. It's pretty much useless. The Wilkinson disposable ones you get in boots (4 for less than €5) are far better than this one I paid €12 for. So if any of you are thinking of buying it, look for something else. It's really not what they said it would be.

I bought the Venus when it came out first. I thought it was okay but wasn't overly impressed by it. They're all the fancy packaging and big ad campaigns really. I haven't tried any of the newer versions but I ended up trying the mens Gillette Mach 3 and never looked back. I use the turbo one and it's the best thing for shaving I think. The blades are quite expensive but they last a good while. But between the blades and shaving gel I spend a bloody fortune on staying hair free. If I can find somewhere worth getting the laser treatment done I'm so doing it, even just underarm. Imagine, not having to shave again.... HEAVEN!!!!!!! :D

So envious of the blondies, I literally NEVER have smooth underarms :( I'm dark and hairy! I'm freaking out now about my arms, it was the one place the blondies I grew up didn't laugh at.

I would love to get laser hair removal but knowing me it probably wouldn't work, everything in the way of hair removal messes up on me. Waxing, hair removal cream, shaving - still never manage to get all the hair. The smooth feeling lasts sweet f-all time.

I started shaving again recently (was using Nair for ages), I would have to shave every 2 days at the very latest if my legs were on show. I seem to wake up in the morning and my eyebrows have grown back! But under my arms bugs me the most, always get shaving burn and it always looks like there is a shadow. Sickens me.
