Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How to get this dirt off my wheels?

    Please see the attached pictures.

How would I go about removing these marks from my wheels? Cleaning them with car shampoo hasn't helped (it has gotten rid of all the dusty loose grime though).

Also, this may sound daft, but is there any way for you guys to tell me from the pictures if they are steel/alloy/chrome? I'm oblivious to the difference! Thanks.

Looks like tar or something similar. A tar remover form Halfords should do it.

i usually use a bit of petrol on a rag, doesn't do the metal any harm that i've noticed.

Use Wonder Wheels* to clean it

and Auto Glym alloy wheel seal to make future cleaning much much easier.

*Wonder Wheels is expensive, and there are cheaper options out there that will work, only not as well.

    Thanks alot for the replies!

Is Wonder Wheels available in the republic to buy in shops? On ebay it's only UK sellers offering it with very high shipping prices.

Also, any guesses as to whether these are steel/alloy/chrome? Or advice on how I could tell?

Don't waste your money on specialised stuff. Petrol is far cheaper and works better than wheel cleaners in my experience. Hasn't harmed any of my wheels either.

    Those wheels are painted alloy
