Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Audio CDs not working - Nero

    Advent 4211c
    Windows XP Home
    Nero 7 Premium
LG External Super Multi DVD Rewriter

I'm creating an audio CD with Nero Express which should work in all CD players. I've made this before using my desktop PC and they've worked in the CD alarm clock I have and in the car radio.

Now they're not working. It just says CD error or turns the CD player off.

I've tried different writing speeds, verifying after burning and different CDs. No effect.

One thing that's strange is that CDs burnt with iTunes work fine. Nero has also done the job with this setup before.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Make sure it's not Juiliet?
Make sure source is 44.1Kbps sampled PCM 16 bit (Wav)
Make sure you selected "disk at once" & "finalise"
Make sure you selected Audio CD (see Red Book)
If the CD is not Red Book format it won't work.

    Blanks:
Make sure to use CDR, not any kind of DVD. Avoid even CD RW.
    DVDs are finer pitch track.

All blank CDs and DVDs have pre-pressed tracking groove / spiral that the information is written into.

Avoid high capacity CDR as some are not CD Audio compatible (Some just go closer to edge, no issue, others may have non-standard tighter spiral which will work on PC drives, but not traditional Audio CD players).

Make sure you tick "normalize all audio files"
