Hi All, I currently subscribe to Sky (basic package) and also have 2 x freeview boxes which I'm very happy with. I'd like to cancel Sky altogether and install an outdoor aerial (aerials) for RTE1,Network2,TV3 & TG4. I'm in south Kildare so I guess Kippure is where I get my reception from. I understand I need a VHF Band III for RTE1 and Network 2 and a separate UHF Band C/D aerial for TV3 and TG4. I assume I would also require some kind of combiner. Can anyone who suggest what I need (without spending a fortune)? Or has anyone else set up terrestrial aerials recently and where did you source them? Much thanks in advance.

yes u will require two aerials to get a proper signal. when i did mine i was able to get a 4 way amplified splitter ( to provide signal to more than 1 tv) and this had a vhf and uhf input. for better signal a mast head amplifier for each mite be an idea. some of them u get may be able to do both aerials it just depends wat is available to you. electrical wholesalers should have most of the equipment or at least be able to point u in right direction for it
