I'd like to see some pics from further out to prove it actually is in a sewer. Looks pretty nasty though.

Apparently they're either worm or bryozoan colonies. Damn I was hoping for a newly evolved thing that would shoot tentacles.

Wow, that's pretty impressive! I'd like to get an idea of the scale of size of these colonies and the pipe in general.
