    A quirky question.

If you sat into a large online tournament say then when you play the larger one do you get vip points when you start playing it?

Why not? You've won the reg fee and you're paying it!!

So Ipoker gets extra reg fees on the sat and refuse to give you the points that you've earn. Thats a **** disgrace and another reason not to play that network.

Stars is the only true customer site on the net.

But you paid the reg fee in your (and everyone elses ) sat entry. So haven't they given the full amount of points for the buy in spread among all the players who entered the sat
Do stars give double points on sat's or do they only give points to the winner

You got points for the reg fee into the sat.

When you win the satelitte part of the prize fund is another reg fee in this case $35, as this is fresh buyin and reg you should get the points.

You should get points for every reg fee or rake you pay. I could understand it, if you got a ticket out of the sat prize fund which was without reg fee included.

We are only talking about ~700 points BTW Seems like an oversight with Ipoker, unless they are 'devious little bolloxes'

they are "deviouse little bolloxes" and this as been proved a couple of times. Poker sites are like banks, there own by the same people. And when I mean banks I mean the big merchant banks etc.

hi does this mean u will play down to a set amount of players on each start day or will play just be stopped at a set time each day? thanks

Aha!; very good question, we will play the set amount of time on Day 1A & Day 1B, regardless of the number of players left.

    Cheers,
    Stephen.
    _____________________________________________________________
P.S. 1,169 players registered as of this moment in time. Keep them going players.
Only 65 spaces left for Day 1A, if you want to play Day 1B you will have to satellite in (or register the moment a player unregisters from that day).
If you do want to satellite in my advice is to register for Day 1A now, just in case you don't win a satellite.

    LOL

Wait til people realise that a Sterling table that rakes a pound or a Euro table that rakes a Euro gets the same points as a $ table thast rakes a $.

Next thing they'll be asking what the rake's capped at

I know, its a joke and a network that should be boycott. Stars mightn't give rakeback, but at least you know where you stand and they give value back to players

Anyway better let the thread return to the IPO before we get bans.

Wrong thinking! Don't forget that everybody playing the satellite got points. Not only the winner. Therefore the points for the event reg fee have been split already between all that played the satellite.

If they gave points for the event too they would give away double points!

It says on the site there that it will be updated on 15th September.

    http://www.boylesports.com/sections/poker/d.asp?show=IPO_VIP_Points

Wait, do you mean the list of players for the VIP points or the overall list of players registered?

    Wrong thinking yourself!
Of course we understand that everybody that played in the satt got points. they paid their reg and are fully entitled to them. No arguement there.
Now forward on to the bigger tourney. All the players that payed into the event rightly get their points, but the players who satted in are after paying entry and reg fee as well but will be the only players in the tourney not getting points. Shouldnt be the case.
No way would it be considered double points. Its 2 different tourneys with 2 reg fees.

    Connie

Like Ollie says, lets not derail the thread. My wife Patricia and I are regged for day 2 and we'll enjoy bringing some of that loot back to the Kingdom!!

Keep the registrations going players. We have just about all our preparations in place now so it would be nice to know we have sold out completely.

The side event rebuys don't make sense!

EITHER its ONE REBUY for 2k in chips + ONE TOPUP for 3K in chips OR

ONE TOPUP OR REBUY FOR 3k in chips??

    Which is it???

It is as it says on the tin, one re-buy allowed (so max total spend is €110). If you manage to make it to the end of the re-buy period without having used your re-buy (for 2,000 chips) then you can top-up (for 3,000 chips).

You shouldn't be worrying about side events anyway, final table of the main event this year, yeah? :)

    Stephen.

That's a very poor format Stephen.

It should be that the rebuy OR add-on should be BOTH 3k!

    Don't you think?

It's the exact same format as last year and there wasn't a single complaint.

Sorry but if its not broken we're not going to fix it. I know what you are suggesting but it means that its just a slightly different format, but it does play really well imho.

And the same format for 99% of tournaments that offer a rebuy or add-on.
